What is PlayYofi?
PlayYofi is a global sports networking platform that connects athletes with coaches, scouts, and recruiters. Athletes create verified profiles and highlight reels; coaches and scouts use our smart search to discover talent from around the world.
How does PlayYofi work?
Athletes sign up, create a profile with their sport, position, stats, and highlight film, then get discovered by coaches actively recruiting. Coaches create verified accounts, search using sport- and position-specific filters, save prospects, and reach out directly through the platform.
Is PlayYofi free to use?
Yes — PlayYofi has a free tier that includes profile creation, basic search, and feed access. Premium plans offer enhanced visibility, advanced analytics, priority placement in search results, and expanded messaging. Pricing details are available on our Pricing page.
What sports does PlayYofi support?
PlayYofi currently supports Soccer, Basketball, American Football, Baseball, Volleyball, and Track & Field. We are actively expanding to additional sports. Follow us on Instagram and X for updates.
Is PlayYofi available in my country?
PlayYofi is a global platform available in all countries. We have a strong and growing user base across North America, Europe, and Africa. All major features are available regardless of your location.
What age do I need to be to use PlayYofi?
Users must be 13 years or older to create an account. Users under 18 operate under our Youth Safety Policy, which includes additional privacy protections and restricted coach-initiated contact. Parental consent may be required in certain regions.

Athletes

How do I get discovered by coaches?
Complete your profile fully — including your sport, position, academic stats, highlight film, and availability status. The more complete your profile, the higher you appear in coach searches. Mark yourself as 'Open to Recruiting' to signal active availability.
How do I create a strong profile?
Include a clear profile photo, your sport and position, graduation year, GPA, division target, and a highlight reel. Athletes with complete profiles and highlight films receive significantly more coach views. Add a bio that tells your story beyond your stats.
Can I upload highlight videos?
Yes. You can upload highlight reels directly to your PlayYofi profile. We support standard video formats. Recommended length is 3–5 minutes. Keep your best moments in the first 60 seconds — coaches often decide quickly.
Can I message coaches directly?
Yes. Once a coach has viewed or saved your profile, you can initiate contact through PlayYofi Messaging. Premium athletes can initiate contact with any verified coach. Always be professional and respectful in your outreach.
What does 'Open to Recruiting' mean?
It's a status you set on your profile to signal to coaches that you are actively seeking recruitment opportunities. You can toggle this on or off at any time in your profile settings.
Can I use PlayYofi if I'm already signed to a team?
Yes. You can maintain a profile even if you are currently signed, playing for a club, or enrolled in a program. Update your availability status to reflect your current situation accurately.
Does PlayYofi guarantee recruitment?
No. PlayYofi is a platform for discovery and connection — it does not guarantee any recruiting outcomes, offers, scholarships, or signings. Recruitment decisions are made entirely by coaches and institutions, not by PlayYofi.
What division levels does PlayYofi support?
PlayYofi supports NCAA D1, D2, and D3, NAIA, Professional, High School, and International levels. You can filter or set your target division in your profile settings.

Coaches & Scouts

How do I find athletes on PlayYofi?
Use our Search & Filter tool to find athletes by sport, position, division level, country, GPA, graduation year, and highlight film availability. Save athletes to your shortlist and reach out directly through the platform.
How are coaches verified?
Coaches must submit institutional credentials during signup — including their affiliated program, institutional email address, and division level. Our Trust & Safety team reviews all coach applications before accounts are activated.
Can I contact athletes directly?
Yes. Verified coaches can message athletes through PlayYofi's built-in messaging system. All communication is logged and subject to our community guidelines. Coaches may not request personal contact information outside the platform.
Can I post recruiting needs on the feed?
Yes. Coaches can create posts on the PlayYofi feed to share open positions, scholarship opportunities, recruiting tips, and program updates. These posts are visible to athletes following your profile or searching your sport.
How do I save athletes to my shortlist?
On any athlete's profile, tap the Save button. All saved athletes appear in your Saved tab for easy review and comparison. You can organize them by position, division, or graduation year.
Is there a limit to how many athletes I can contact?
Free coaches can message a limited number of athletes per month. Verified premium coaches have expanded or unlimited messaging. See our Pricing page for full details.
Can I use PlayYofi for high school recruiting?
Yes. PlayYofi supports high school level recruiting. All interactions with athletes under 18 are subject to our Youth Safety Policy, which includes additional contact restrictions and safeguards.

Account & Profile

How do I create an account?
Visit playyofi.com, tap 'Get Started', and select your role — Athlete or Coach. Complete the onboarding steps including your sport, position or affiliation, and profile details. Your account is ready in minutes.
How do I reset my password?
On the login screen, tap 'Forgot Password' and enter your registered email address. You will receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive. If issues persist, contact support@playyofi.com.
Can I change my sport or position?
Yes. Go to your Profile, tap Edit Profile, and update your sport and position at any time. Note that changing your sport may affect your visibility in search results until your profile is fully updated.
Can I have more than one account?
No. PlayYofi does not permit users to maintain multiple accounts. Creating duplicate or fake accounts is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in permanent suspension.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, messages, and data from our platform within 30 days, subject to our data retention policy. This action cannot be undone.
Can I make my profile private?
Athletes can control their visibility settings in Profile Settings. You can set your profile to Public (visible to all coaches), Coaches Only (visible only to verified coaches), or Private (not visible in search).

Privacy & Safety

Is my personal data safe?
Yes. PlayYofi uses industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
Who can see my profile?
By default, athlete profiles are visible to all verified users. You can restrict visibility to Coaches Only or set your profile to Private in your settings. Certain information — such as your full contact details — is never publicly visible.
Is PlayYofi GDPR compliant?
Yes. PlayYofi complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). EU users have the right to access, correct, export, and delete their personal data at any time. Contact privacy@playyofi.com for data requests.
How do I report a user or inappropriate content?
Use the three-dot menu on any profile or post and select 'Report.' Choose a reason and submit. You can also email safety@playyofi.com. All reports are confidential and reviewed by our Trust & Safety team within 24 hours.
How does PlayYofi protect young athletes?
Athletes under 18 are subject to our Youth Safety Policy, which includes restricted coach-initiated contact, enhanced privacy defaults, and additional profile safeguards. We work to ensure a safe recruiting environment for all users.
Does PlayYofi share my data with third parties?
PlayYofi does not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics) under strict data processing agreements. See our Privacy Policy for a full list of data sharing practices.

Technical Support

Why can't I upload my highlight video?
Check that your file is in a supported format (MP4, MOV, AVI) and under the maximum file size limit. Ensure you have a stable internet connection during upload. If issues persist, try a different browser or device, then contact support@playyofi.com.
The app isn't loading — what should I do?
Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser. If you're on the mobile app, force-close and reopen. Check our status page for any known outages.
I didn't receive my verification email — what do I do?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If the email isn't there, go to your account settings and tap 'Resend Verification Email.' Still not working? Contact support@playyofi.com with your registered email address.
How do I contact support?
Email us at support@playyofi.com, use the Contact form at playyofi.com/help, or use the in-app Help button. We respond within 24 business hours.
Is there a mobile app?
PlayYofi is accessible via mobile browser and is optimized for mobile devices. A dedicated iOS and Android app is in development. Follow us on Instagram and X for launch announcements.
