1. Platform Disclaimer

PlayYofi is a sports networking and discovery platform. We provide tools that help athletes and coaches connect, communicate, and explore recruiting opportunities. PlayYofi is not a recruiting agency, talent agency, sports agent, or educational institution.

All interactions between users occur directly between those users. PlayYofi does not participate in, mediate, or endorse any specific recruiting arrangement, offer, or agreement.

2. No Guarantee of Recruitment Outcomes

PlayYofi makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding:

  • The likelihood or probability of any athlete being recruited
  • The receipt of scholarship offers, trials, or professional contracts
  • The accuracy of information posted by coaches, scouts, or institutions
  • The outcome of any communication initiated through the platform

Athletes and their families should conduct independent due diligence before accepting any offer or entering into any agreement with a coach, institution, or recruiter found through PlayYofi.

3. User-Generated Content Disclaimer

PlayYofi hosts content created and uploaded by our users, including athlete profiles, highlight videos, coaching posts, and messages. We do not pre-screen all user-generated content.

PlayYofi is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of user-generated content. We reserve the right — but not the obligation — to remove content that violates our Community Guidelines or these legal standards.

Users who encounter inappropriate or unlawful content are encouraged to use our Report feature or contact safety@playyofi.com.

4. Safety Expectations

For Athletes

  • Never share personal information (home address, financial details) with coaches or scouts before verifying their identity
  • All offers, scholarship discussions, or contracts should involve a parent, guardian, or licensed advisor
  • Report any coach or user who behaves inappropriately, applies pressure, or requests personal information outside the platform

For Coaches & Scouts

  • All communication with athletes must remain professional and within platform guidelines
  • Contact with athletes under 18 must adhere to our Youth Safety Policy and applicable laws
  • Coaches may not request personal contact information or meetings outside of the platform context

Youth Safety

PlayYofi has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of grooming, exploitation, or inappropriate contact with minors. Violations will result in immediate permanent ban and referral to law enforcement where applicable.

5. Intellectual Property

The PlayYofi name, logo, platform design, and proprietary features are the exclusive intellectual property of PlayYofi Inc. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

Users retain ownership of original content they post, subject to the license granted in our Terms of Service.

6. Compliance with Applicable Laws

PlayYofi operates in compliance with applicable laws in the jurisdictions where we operate, including but not limited to:

  • GDPR — General Data Protection Regulation (European Union)
  • COPPA — Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (United States)
  • PIPEDA — Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act
  • NDPR — Nigeria Data Protection Regulation
  • Ghana Data Protection Act

Users are responsible for complying with the laws of their own jurisdiction when using the platform.

7. NCAA / Eligibility Compliance Notice

PlayYofi is not affiliated with the NCAA, NAIA, or any collegiate governing body. Athletes should consult with their high school counselor, college compliance officer, or athletic director to ensure that their use of recruiting platforms complies with applicable eligibility rules before accepting any benefits or entering into agreements.
